Job Details

Two-month term contract.

NAT, the UK's leading HIV policy and campaigning charity, needs a Communications Intern.

NAT is the UK's leading charity dedicated to transforming society's response to HIV. We provide fresh thinking, expertise and practical resources. We champion the rights of people living with HIV and campaign for change.

Each year NAT creates a new red ribbon brooch to sell in the run-up to World AIDS Day (1 December). We need an intern to support us on this project.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, confident and energetic person who has a keen interest in fashion and would like to get into fashion marketing. With support from the Communications Manager, you will be the first point of contact with the designers’ press teams, pitching the project to them and managing the relationships which develop. You will oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring deadlines are met and come in on budget. You will plan the press and communications around the project, engaging with celebrities, looking after our social media channels and planning the launch event.

You will also get the opportunity to work alongside a celebrity stylist and fashion magazine editor who is curating the project.

The ideal candidate will be creative, hard-working and organised with an interest in and knowledge of the world of fashion. You must have a good telephone manner and excellent written English. You must be comfortable using social media and have a good knowledge of the fashion press.

The National AIDS Trust (NAT) is a Registered Charity No 297977 and a Company Limited by Guarantee No 2175938 (registered in England and Wales).

NAT is committed to equality and diversity and encourages applications from people living with HIV, gay and bisexual men and people from black and minority ethnic communities.
We welcome applications from disabled people and are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
