We are looking to recruit a Policy and Public Affairs Officer (Wales) to drive forward our policy and campaigning work in Wales. Part of a highly motivated and effective policy and campaigning team working across the UK, this is critical role requires someone who can work in a highly autonomous way, taking forward Leonard Cheshire Disability’s campaign goals across a variety of audiences. Based in our Cardiff office, the individual will be expected to work closely with the Welsh Government, Assembly Members and other partners to help achieve positive change through effectively implementing policy and public affairs plans.

The role will be suited to someone with:
- Significant experience of public affairs and policy work in Wales
- Detailed understanding of Welsh politics and political processes
- Extensive experience of drafting responses on policy consultations
- Experience of delivering public affairs plans to achieve successful policy and campaigning outcomes
- Experience of managing stakeholder relations and communicating with a variety of audiences
