This internship will run from 22 September 2014 to 12 December 2014.

The political communications internship at Lib Dem HQ will involve work in strategic research, polling, press, policy, campaign messaging and direct communications from the Party Leader.

As an intern with the Liberal Democrats you can expect a demanding but fulfilling experience. This won’t be a tea making role - you will be thrown in the deep end and expected to contribute fully as an important member of the team. All interns are allocated managers, who will be responsible for your experience, workload and career development and relevant training will be provided.

Working at the heart of Westminster, Liberal Democrat interns can expect to develop a range of highly transferable skills. Previous interns have gone on to work for MPs and Lords, at think tanks, in PR or public affairs consultancies, for charities and NGOs, to the civil service or to other paid roles within the Party.

Interview/Start Dates

The closing date is at 9am on the 25th August

Interviews will be held in the week of 1/9/2014.

The internship will run from 22/9/2014 until 12/12/2014.

The line manager will be Tom Smithard, Head of Strategic Research.
