Would you like the opportunity to improve the emotional wellbeing of young people (11-25)?

YoungMinds’ Youth Engagement Team works with young people online and in communities to raise awareness of mental health; improve mental health services for children and young people and increase young people’s involvement in decisions impacting their mental health at a personal, local and national level. This project will improve services for young people and increase the public’s understanding of mental health.

YoungMinds are currently recruiting a number of Sessional Workers (Youth Engagement) to work with young people in London and the South East.

Sessional Workers will undertake a range of key activities in the region within which they are based including to:-

  • Recruit and support young people to actively participate in campaigns and events
  • Deliver awareness raising sessions about young people’s wellbeing and mental health in schools and other organisations
  • Build relationships with local professionals and services that impact on children and young people’s mental health
  • Provide the administrative support that will aid the successful delivery of the project

We are looking for highly motivated people with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have experience of working with young people from a wide range of backgrounds, and a commitment to improving children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.

You will be joining a highly successful organisation with a national reputation in the field of youth engagement, making this an outstanding opportunity for the right people.

You will be able to regularly work weekends and evenings in order to coordinate and attend events with children and young people. You will also be able to undertake occasional travel to meetings in different parts of the country.
