The Research Manager

Overseeing the Research Assistant and research team, the research manager opportunity offers the chance to tackle a varied, exciting workload and interact with a range of exciting clients on huge projects.

Key duties:

  • Monitoring intelligence via relevant media and other sources
  • Leading on all intelligence and research gathering
  • Providing intelligence to the organisation and clients to educate, engage, and lead on changes
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and relevant groups
  • Maintaining the organisation’s intelligence systems
  • Over-seeing the social media presence of the organisation
  • Supporting the team on new building and marketing
  • Supporting the team in the production of its monthly publication

Required Skills:

  • An in-depth knowledge of local and regional politics, research, communications, and media
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills. The ability to produce detailed, concise briefs is central to the role and organisation.
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Exemplary client management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A positive attitude which easily transfers to being an engaging, proactive team leader
  • Line-managing experience
  • Social media experience
  • Experience of monitoring
  • Highly organised, efficient, and with a keen eye for detail
  • This is a consultancy with a strong sense of togetherness; the ability to have fun and collaborate effectively are key components of this role.
