The position will last 3 months. It may be extended up to 6 months depending on the candidate. Job share might be possible for the right candidate(s).
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Confirmation of that right will be sought before an offer of employment is made.
Summary of role:
The right candidate will be responsible for assisting with organising and coordinating fundraising events and assisting with preparing grant proposals.
Primary responsibilities and duties:
- Assisting the Communications and Events Officer with organising and coordinating fundraising events.
- Assisting with fundraising event logistics, including booking venues and guests, managing registration lists, and offering support with pre- and post-event evaluations.
- Participating in all efforts to publicise fundraising events.
- Creating promotional materials for advertising fundraising events, etc.
- Securing sponsorships and/or grants for covering costs of fundraising events.
- Locating new sources of funding.
- Assisting with drafting grant proposals.
- Assisting with fundraising drives.
- Assisting with any fundraising-related activities.
- Any other related activities as necessary.
Person specification:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of designing promotional materials (highly desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Experience of organising events.
- Interest in North Korean human rights (highly desirable).
- Experience of drafting funding proposals.

Interview/Start Dates
Interviews will be held on the 15th and 16th of September. The role will commence from the beginning of October.
