Bath has the best chance of gaining a Conservative Member of Parliament in a generation with Lib Dem MP Don Foster (since 1992) stepping down, the Liberal Democrats at an all time low nationally and the selection of Ben Howlett as the Prospective Conservative Parliamentary Candidate.
An exciting opportunity has arisen as the Ben4Bath campaign seeks to step up a gear over the summer and is looking to appoint a professional and politically supportive individual to work alongside the Ben4Bath campaign team and the Bath Conservative Association over the coming months.

The role will include:

• Interacting with volunteers, professional staff and politicians and assisting them with their duties
• Getting involved with campaigning, canvassing the local area and by-elections
• Recruiting and communicating with members
• General administrative duties including the organisation of meetings, dealing with telephone calls, post and emails received at the Office
• Maintaining records and managing databases
• Assisting with ongoing projects and organising Fundraising events
• Undertake the necessary planning and preparation to work towards ensuring that the Conservatives maximise success in the 2015 elections
• Brief and train members and volunteers in preparation for local and national elections
• Encourage the regular production and distribution of newsletters
• Supporting local and national casework - researching, drafting responses and briefing the Parliamentary Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Be enthusiastic about elections
• Be energetic with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude
• Have good written and oral communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
• Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Have good IT skills and a familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
• Have a commitment to the values of the Conservative Party
• Able to carry out campaigning projects and research tasks.

The role also offers scope to be actively involved in on the ground election campaigning and participating in the latest political strategy.

It is currently envisaged the role would be 4-5 days a week for the month of September.

Interviews will take place over the weekend of the 30th August.

Role will Start on the 1st September.
