This is an exciting opportunity to support the work of Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed Powys. The role brings exposure to policy-making, media, local and national politics. It will help develop an understanding of government in a critical area, namely policing and crime.
The work will focus on political aspects of the PCC's job, potentially with other like-minded PCCs, MPs, AMs and local politicians. The candidate will have opportunities to help:
- develop and promote PCCs policies
- research areas of interest and contribute to articles and speeches
- support fundraising and campaign activity
- update website and improve online presence.
The successful applicant will have good IT skills and an understanding of websites and social media. They will have an interest in politics and policing, with good research, writing and communication skills. They do not need to be Conservative Party members, but will be sympathetic to Conservative policy. They will be enthusiastic, can-do and interested.
Hours and location are flexible, but would ideally be available in Carmarthen regularly. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for experience in politics between work and/or study.
