Conservative Campaign Headquarters is restructuring the management of its 2015 Party Conference and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference Business Development Manager.

The role:

  • The successful applicant will work on all commercial aspects of the Party Conference including exhibition, sponsorship, branding, and advertising.
  • They will be responsible for developing new client relationships to deliver sales revenue and increase opportunities for advertising, sponsorship income and exhibition sales.
  • They will deliver results and bring new ideas and innovation to this annual, high-profile event.

Competencies:

  • Relevant and recent experience in meeting and exceeding financial targets and working to deadlines.
  • Ambition and tenacity. A self-starter, with strong negotiation and most importantly, excellent sales skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as they will be required to communicate to internal and external senior decision-makers and report on progress and activity.
  • Drive - able to manage their own workload and have the ability to work as part of the Conservative Conference and Commercial teams.
  • A full UK driving licence and be able to travel nationally as required.

Experience of working in the events or conference industry would be an advantage but not essential.
