The Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House is presently looking for an individual with demonstrated interest in (and knowledge of) the politics, economies and societies of the former Soviet states. 

The successful applicant will acquire significant experience in research, event management, and general office duties; as well as valuable exposure to research and other activities in the context of an international affairs institute.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of conducting research into the region. The candidate will have excellent communication and IT skills, including work with databases; as well as excellent command of the English and Russian languages.

The position is for a period of three months. The hours are flexible, however we are looking for a candidate who can commit to 2-3 days per week. The successful applicant will have unique access to almost all relevant research meetings and seminars within the Institute on a variety of international affairs related topics, and particularly meetings within the Russia and Eurasia Programme.
