The role:
As part of the UK wide Public Policy department, to lead the campaigning work of Action for Children, with a particular focus on online engagement and supporter networks.
To work with the Public Policy team, operations, fundraising, communications and other colleagues to plan, develop and deliver influential public campaigns that are informed and led by children, young people and families who are most affected by the issues Action for Children campaign to change.
To expand the Action for Children campaigning supporter base, including on-line and off-line activism and to be the organisational expert, on the digital campaigning tools required to communicate with supporters and external contacts.
To oversee the external communications of all policy and campaigns work, ensuring consistent, concise, clear and engaging content.
The candidate
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to design and deliver successful policy change campaigns and have previous experience building and developing a campaigning supporter base, both online and offline
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and excellent interpersonal skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Engaging Networks online campaigning tool and the ability to use digital campaigning tools to best practice standards.
