Job Details

The role of Fundraising Administrator represents a unique opportunity to support the delivery of fundraising for the future of an iconic brand. The Poppy Factory is an independent charity with a rich history in providing paid employment to disabled ex-Service men and women. In its factory in Richmond, a team of disabled veterans and members of the wider Armed Forces family make poppies and wreaths for the annual period of remembrance. Following a strategic review, the charity has recently expanded and raised its profile. In keeping with the mission of its founder, its vision is to ensure that “no disabled veteran who wants to work should be out of work”. Its collective ambition is to help 500 disabled veterans (clients) back to work by 2015 and it is now well on its way to achieving this having assisted 330 “clients” to date. This is supported by voluntary fundraising which plans to raise over £800,000 per year and has already raised nearly £2m from scratch.

The principal responsibility of the post holder will be to provide outstanding administrative support to the fundraising team and offer a customer focused approach to existing and potential supporters. The role will work closely with the whole team to ensure relationships with all stakeholders are maximised on behalf of the charity. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual with outstanding, demonstrable administrative experience to help us realise our ambitions for the future.
