Everything we do starts with our rainforest partners. This is why you’ll work alongside our projects team to produce exciting, surprising and compulsive information about everything that Cool Earth does to save rainforest and strengthen village life in Peru, the DR Congo and Papua New Guinea. You’ll be responsible for designing Cool Earth’s campaigns and communications strategy and making sure it’s delivered as effectively as possible across our website, social media channels and through supporter updates. As a result of your talent and spark, existing supporters will stay committed to our work and new fans will flock to Cool Earth to protect another 400,000 acres of endangered rainforest.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Putting in place a high impact-high return campaigns strategy to meet Cool Earth’s overall aims in collaboration with the Director and Project Manager.
  • Taking internal and external news-flow and turning it into compelling stories, fantastic facts, campaigns and updates.
  • Coordinate all our external communications - online, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
  • Lead on all SEO/analytics to inform comms strategy.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure all output is aligned to our brand.

Things that will help you

  • Educated to degree level or higher in any field. 
  • At least two years' work experience in a comms, marketing or campaigns setting.
  • Ability to absorb new concepts and information quickly, and to act with initiative and imagination. 
  • You need to be able to interpret research findings and act on them.
  • Ability to work flexibly, to cope with a heavy workload and complete tasks in a timely way.
  • Adept at using of information technology, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritise.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build effective working relationships.
