The WSTA is the voice of the wine and spirit industry, representing over 340 companies producing, importing and selling wines and spirits. We are looking for a Campaign Manager for a six-month period to help with an exciting, new campaign. This position would therefore be ideal for someone who is available immediately and wants to broaden their experience in the public affairs sector. The position reports to the Public Affairs and Campaigns Director and would be based in our offices in London.

Main duties:

  • Support the Public Affairs and Campaigns Director
  • Help implement the campaign strategy.

Skills & experience – essential:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in contributing to the development and execution of successful public campaigns, including ones involving UK Parliamentarians
  • Ability to manage a number of competing priorities whilst maintaining a focus on a small number of tangible, measurable outcomes
  • Specific examples of initiative and creativity in different aspects of their career to date
    Effective influencing skills, including a track record of forming effective working relationships with and building coalitions between diverse stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the political environment, with evidence of building cross-party relationships
  • Experience of public affairs (Westminster, agency, in-house or trade association)
  • Ability to process data, familiarity with databases and evidence of meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of their work
  • Educated to degree level


Skills & experience – desirable:

  • An understanding of wine & spirits markets in the UK and the key issues affecting the WSTA’s member companies
