An opportunity exists within the Royal Borough’s Community Engagement Team to work to support community engagement initiatives both within and outside the Council.

As part of this role you will be supporting work with over five hundred voluntary and community sector organisations, helping to administer and monitor grants and other types of support to help residents play an active role in how services are delivered in the borough. Your role will also include undertaking administrative functions in this busy and lively team which is in direct contact with members of the public, council officers and councillors.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work with officers at different levels and with partner organisations to help deliver projects and coordinate public events as required. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in projects and work in other teams in the Policy and Partnerships Unit in the Corporate Services business group.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team which is at the forefront of some of the creative and emerging initiatives in the Council as well as one that is delivering some well established projects.
