Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is delighted to be recruiting for a Communications & Engagement Manager.

This is a senior role that requires the ability to lead on communications activity on behalf of the LEP - leading engagement with local and national media, business and political stakeholders and supporting dedicated leads in Infrastructure, Business & Innovation and Skills & Employment in promoting their projects.

The LEP was established in 2010 as part of the Government's efforts to localise economic development. Hertfordshire LEP this year secured £200 million from the Local Growth Fund, a £2 billion pot available to all 39 LEPs across the country. This was the fifth highest Growth Deal per capita in the country, demonstrating Hertfordshire's enormous economic potential - particularly in sectors such as the creative industries (Warner Bros, Elstree Studios etc) and life sciences (Stevenage BioScience Catalyst, Rothamsted Research etc).

This is therefore an exciting opportunity to deliver long-term, high-profile communications campaigns which will drive forward Hertfordshire's economic development.

The LEP is looking for candidates with a strong background in communications, marketing, or public relations. You will be a proven communicator with demonstrable experience in engaging with businesses, local and national media and politicians.

Secondments will also be considered.
