Headway is the UK-wide charity that supports people affected by brain injury. We’re seeking a strategic thinker with an excellent understanding of politics who can help us to raise the profile of Headway among politicians and civil servants working in the fields of health, social care and welfare.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for devising and initiating campaigns to improve the lives of people affected by brain injury in the UK. You will also co-ordinate the charity’s response to all relevant consultations, including those launched by government departments, NICE and other relevant organisations, while developing and managing relationships with MPs and other key stakeholders.

Educated to degree level, you will ideally have experience of working in government relations or in a lobbying role. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and empathise, and a confidence to persuade and influence.
