Job Details

WRC is the leading national umbrella organisation for the women’s sector, working towards linking all aspects of the women’s movement. We support our members to be more effective and sustainable through training, and we lobby the government on their behalf on a range of women’s issues. We have over 500 members working to provide services to some of the most marginalised women in society, including rape crisis centres, domestic violence refuges, counselling services, and so on.

We are currently leading on a project that works to tackle violence against women and girls. The project is complex, and far reaching, and requires considerable administration and communications tasks.

Therefore, we are looking for a volunteer with an interest in communications who can work with the Head of Communications to develop and implement a communications strategy to ensure that this project gets the recognition it deserves.

We are looking for someone with an interest in the work we do, and hopefully a background in communications. You should be able to work with us for 2 days per week over the course of 4-6 months. In return, you will gain invaluable experience working on a violence against women and girls project, in an environment that works at a grassroots level to combat all forms of inequality.
