The Trust’s Head of Communications requires administrative, research and creative support from a committed and reliable intern.  The Communications Intern is a new role in what is otherwise a predominantly legal organisation. The successful candidate can expect to work across varied projects, including events, media relations and website and publication editorial.  Our paid interns are a core and integrated part of the small Human Dignity Trust staff team, and are invited to take part in relevant meetings and events.  The Communications Intern will have fortnightly 121s with the Head of Communications to ensure learning and development takes place.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Attending team meetings
  • Updating the website
  • Writing press releases and statements
  • Liaising with journalists
  • Updating and compiling press lists
  • Contributing creative communications ideas
  • Contributing to media strategies (where necessary/appropriate)
  • Helping coordinate events
  • Taking on research as necessary
  • Basic admin support where needed
