The SNP Westminster Group are looking to employ full time Senior Parliamentary Researchers based in the Palace of Westminster working for the group of 56 SNP MPs.

This role would place the successful candidate at the heart of developments in the UK Parliament as part of the third largest party. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of current political issues.

Main duties include: briefings for parliamentary debates, supporting MPs in Parliamentary Committees, carrying out specific research projects, assisting press officers with media briefings and liaising with internal and external people and organisations.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a wide range of political, policy and research skills with the ability to respond quickly and to produce accurate information within tight time scales. Firm knowledge of current Scottish politics and procedures of the House of Commons and is essential.
