Are you interested in a volunteer placement with an award-winning charity?
LawWorks is an independent national charity that aims to increase the delivery of free legal advice to individual and community groups in need. It does this by supporting, promoting and encouraging a commitment to pro bono legal advice across the legal profession. LawWorks runs a number of programmes that place volunteer lawyers with people and small charities that cannot afford legal fees and are unable to access legal aid.
LawWorks regularly has opportunities for interns to support our work in a range of areas. We are currently looking for 2 interns to support the following areas of work
- researching law firms and legal advice organisations,
- researching and updating clinic resources,
- liaising with partners to collect evaluation statistics,
- researching areas of unmet legal need,
- researching clinics training needs and online resources.
We are looking for 2 interns to join the team in Summer 2015, each volunteering with us for 2 days per week for up to 6 months.
Please note that the 2 days per week volunteering will need to be conducted during 10pm - 4 pm Mon - Fri at The National Pro Bono Centre, Chancery Lane, WC2A 1JF. These roles are voluntary, unpaid opportunities but expenses of up to £8 per day will be paid towards travel and/or lunch costs.
