Background:
GMSP Foundation was set up by the Sachdev family to formalise our charitable giving and to give strategically to create social change. Coming from a business background, we take an entrepreneurial approach to giving. We assess and measure impact and sustainability and always seek out dynamic and capable leadership. We believe girls and women are the engine of change and that by empowering them they can empower they entire community.
Duties and responsibilities:
• GMSP is seeking a motivated individual to help lead the efforts of the Foundation.
• This role will assist in managing the day-to-day of our various projects and partnership work, as well as contributing to the strategic planning of the organisation.
• Qualified candidates should have knowledge of gender issues and be passionate about creating change. The small team environment involves significant responsibility as well as the opportunity to collaborate and interact with a diverse set of external stakeholders.
The role includes:
• Working closely with Foundation directors to help develop foundation strategy
• Managing day to day running of projects
• Working with different partner organisations to develop projects and monitor ongoing progress
• Managing social media messaging and broader communications strategy
• Assisting with ongoing administrative tasks related to the programme
Required
• Undergraduate or graduate degree
• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience, preferably in the corporate sector
• Excellent organisational skills; ability to multi task
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills, including on social media
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to relate well within multicultural context and with various stakeholders
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, determine priorities, and track details
• Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofing skills
• Demonstrated success in roles requiring attention to detail
• Demonstrated commitment to GMSP Foundation’s mission, vision and values
• Demonstrated ability to organise events with multiple stakeholders to a high standard
• Permission to live and work in the UK
