Job Description:

Based in London with possible travel to Brussels and Strasbourg, you will be part of a small team and therefore will need people skills - precious prima donnas need not apply.

The responsibilities will include:

• Head of all communications;
• Monitoring of international, national and local media coverage;
• Turning international, national messages and media campaigns into material that will have salience with the local and regional media;
• Helping to organise set piece events across the south east region.

The successful applicant will:

• Have an enviable contact book, when you pick up the phone the Today programme will listen as well as regional editors;
• Be a committed and passionate supporter of the objectives of the No/Out Campaign;
• Have extensive experience of press handling, proactive media relations and political media;
• Be willing to work flexible and unsociable hours and go the “extra mile” for the cause;
• Thrive on a fast-paced, flexible and challenging working environment;
• Enjoy strong communication skills, understand the importance of prioritising tasks, have experience of working to deadlines and have high energy levels;
• Exhibit a professional demeanour and appearance as well as working adeptly as part of the senior team;
• Strong writing skills;
• Have an understanding of EU politics;
• Be a winner.
