PB Political Consulting was created in 2010 to provide a specialist Public Affairs and consultancy service for clients who wanted to engage with the opportunities the General Election that year offered. Since 2010 we have gone from strength to strength. We retain our clients year after year as we receive tangible results and make a real contribution to their bottom line. Every campaign is different and our team design bespoke solutions built around the client’s individual needs. We have an extensive portfolio of clients across Medical Technology, Education and Charity sectors. Due to growth we are seeking an intelligent, focused and highly organised Research Executive to support our Account Team and Directors.

Key Tasks will include:

Client and Account Support

  • Carry out all support tasks as directed to execute the strategies and activities as detailed by account managers/directors
  • Ensure that your accounts are well organised and structured in terms of time, and manual and electronic filing
  • Support the account managers and directors to effectively execute engagement programmes across Westminster, Whitehall and government
  • Support the account managers and directors with the planning and delivery of client events
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients and their operating environments

Monitoring and Research

  • Compile concise and accurate daily and weekly media monitoring reports
  • Provide research for Public Affairs programmes and project proposals
  • Accurately enter data from FOI requests
  • Manage social media updates (internal and clients)

Person Specification

  • Graduate level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in the political/policy/communications fields
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for business and politics
  • Excellent research and drafting skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities, ability to juggle a number of competing priorities and to seek advice and guidance from colleagues when needed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, with experience of using Excel for data management
  • Strong inter-personal skills
