Guide Dogs’ multi-award-winning Campaigns Team is looking for an office volunteer to help out on their campaigns that centre upon getting people with sight loss more independently mobile.

We are looking for someone to provide support to our team based in Euston in our planning for various high-profile political and parliamentary events, roll-out of various campaigning products and our management of contact with politicians as well as campaigners.

Key tasks will include
• Contacting parliamentarians’ offices
• Keeping our log of contact with parliamentarians up to date
• Taking part in our team planning meetings
• Taking minutes at meetings and other general administrative support
• Conducting research around our campaigns and potential collaborative partners
• Use social media to promote campaigning messages
• Assisting with the production of campaigning products

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communications skills and good knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

We are looking for someone to ideally work one to two days a week for a minimum of one month, with the possibility of extension. We are negotiable on which days of the week these will be.

In return you will receive travel expenses and gain experience of working as part of an exciting campaigning team, gaining invaluable insight into public affairs and innovative campaigning.
