Job Details

The European Youth Parliament UK has a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in getting their writing published alongside the work of politicians, academics, pressure groups and think tanks.

In light of the upcoming referendum on British membership of the European Union, the European Youth Parliament UK (EYPUK) is expanding its online presence to develop a centre of informed discussion and debate surrounding European issues.

It is the aim of EYPUK to become the central resource for youth involvement in the run up to the EU referendum. To do this, we want to provide young people with all the information they need to make informed decisions around Europe, in an effort overcome the deficit in young people’s European political education. Posts so far have come from a mix of politicians including MPs and MEPS, think tanks, pressure groups, political figures including Alastair Campbell, researchers, students, and other young people with interests in Europe.

We need contributions from anyone with an interest in European issues and are now accepting submissions. We're looking for articles of around 500/600 words (or more if you're feeling keen) discussing an issue of your choice relating to Europe. Some suggestions for topics are:

EU referendum – to stay in or not to stay in?
Women’s rights in Europe
The Eurocrisis
European Integration
Immigration
Unemployment
Security and defence
European agriculture
European party politics
Business in Europe
Europe in the media
Tourism
The environment
Anything else related to the EU and Europe
