The post holder will proactively support the consultancy team with project coordination, report writing, high quality analysis and briefing notes to ensure their effective engagement with clients. They will be responsible for collating, interpreting and reporting on complex information around strategy, business models, financial modelling and social impact. The position requires a methodical yet flexible approach to work seamlessly across a diverse national and international portfolio of projects and deliver to a consistently high standard.

This role requires an enthusiastic self-starter who will possess exceptional attention to detail and the initiative to understand and get involved in all aspects of this growing organisation. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to listen and see the bigger picture.

Role description

  • Deliver high quality analysis to support the replication of proven social projects in a range of sectors, such as healthcare and sustainable energy
  • Assist in consultancy projects across the private, public and social sector, including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare and participate in workshops with clients
  • Developing financial models
  • Conducting interviews and focus groups with clients and beneficiaries
  • Writing up reports for clients and internal use
  • Desk-based background and market research
  • Build and maintain ICSF’s knowledge and resources
  • Provide support to the ICSF team, including some administrative tasks
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, as needed

Experience required and person specification

  • Educated to degree level
  • Self-starter who is enthusiastic and flexible
  • Organised, methodical and attentive to detail
  • Willingness to ‘pitch in’ and work as a team, but with the ability to work effectively independently where required
  • Good communication skills – able to take complex information and communicate it to others succinctly
  • Personal commitment to the social sector
  • Experience of working in an office environment
