Are you passionate about making a real difference? Because ActionAid’s Local Organisers are people who want to change the world!

Volunteer as a Local Organiser for ActionAid UK and together we can make an impact! You don’t need professional qualifications, just a passion to tackle the root causes of poverty. We’re looking for dedicated campaigners with good people and networking skills, and we’ll give you all the training and support you need to help take our Make Tax Fair and our Fearless women’s rights campaigns to the next level. You’ll get to meet other like-minded people and have a lot of fun along the way!

If you are a committed campaigner who wants to change the world, or maybe you’re passionate about tax justice and women’s rights in the world’s poorest countries, and you have good networking skills, then you’re what we’re looking for!

If you’ve already got good links with community groups in your area then please mention this when you apply. Likewise, if you already have some experience of campaigning or using social media then these are all skills that will help you in this role. However if you’re new to campaigning and local organising then we will help you build the skills you need – the main criteria for being a Local Organiser are commitment and enthusiasm.

ActionAid is committed to promoting equality and diversity. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all faiths, ethnic origins, backgrounds and nationalities. If you have caring commitments or a disability which would make it difficult to attend trainings, including the initial training, please let us know in your application and we will make alternative arrangements.
