The Organisation

The League Against Cruel Sports – Britain’s leading charity working to stop animals being persecuted, abused and killed for sport.

It is a fantastic time to join the League with an exciting new strategy in place and major new campaigns and programmes being developed. In the near future, there are some significant campaign wins within reach that could have a huge impact on persecuted animals.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in helping to shape future campaign successes and to develop your reputation in the sector.

The Role

  • To effectively lead the League’s research strategy, the development of the League’s policy on issues and to develop and respond to legislation.
  • Ensure the League’s research strategy and policy outputs are robust and based on credible evidence cementing the League’s reputation as an opinion leader with external stakeholders as well as strengthening brand and influence.
  • Provide effective management of the League’s research and information resources, dissemination of relevant data and give support to the senior management team.

The Candidate

  • You will already have a record of successful leadership of policy and research with a similar-sized organisation. You are a confident leader, you will be creative and determined, able to work across the organisation to inspire and support the delivery of high-profile, innovative campaigns.
  • You’ll be able to evidence effective planning and management of resources, projects and performance requirements, including budgets and staff.
  • Passionate about the welfare of animals, you’ll be highly motivated to play a vital role in bringing an end to some of cruellest activities practiced in the name of sport.
