An exciting opportunity to help organise prestigious events for a renowned political communications company.

We are looking for an Event Project Manager to manage relationships with sponsors, venues and agencies involved in our business-to-government summits. These events are supported by some of the world’s most recognisable brand names, providing a chance to act as our main point of contact for companies including Microsoft, Google and Barclays.

In addition to regular interaction with high profile organisations, the Event Project Manager can expect to manage online and offline sponsor branding, help design exhibition plans and handle relationships with conference venues and agencies. This is a fast-paced job offering a variety of challenges and the opportunity to see your work produce tangible results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be the lead contact for and develop relationships with event sponsors, venues and agencies
  • Manage event logistics (e.g. allocating exhibition space, arranging deliveries, sourcing event agencies and venues)
  • Acquire and manage sponsor-focused content (e.g. sponsor profiles, adverts and inserts)
  • Advising internal and external stakeholders (e.g. producing ‘best practice’ guides for event sponsors)
  • Follow agreed plans and timelines to their successful conclusion
  • Attend events to support sponsor activity and event delivery team

Person Specification

  • Experience of organising business-to-business or business-to-government events
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with event sponsors, venues and agencies
  • Able to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced events team
  • Competent user of IT products, particularly Mircrosoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
  • A team player with good written and oral communication skills
  • Patient, mature and reliable

Desirable:

  • Experience of using Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal)
  • Interest in UK politics and current affairs
