Rhythms of Life is a registered charity that provides food, clothing and support to the homeless and other vulnerable individuals in London. This is facilitated by fixed locations that homeless people can attend, as well as teams that distribute supplies directly on the street. We are a small team comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers.
We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative candidates who wish to gain experience and knowledge. We have several roles to fill:
PR, Media & Communications Internship
- Writing press releases
- Monitoring daily media across all online and offline channels to help identify PR opportunities
- Developing and managing a results-focused social media strategy across social and blog channels
- Creating content and building an online community via social media channels
- Developing and maintaining a database of media contacts
- General marketing and PR office duties
Fundraising Internship
- Developing and maintaining relationships with donors and partners
- Monitoring cross-platform media for new funding opportunities
- Co-ordinating meetings as well as making presentations and proposals
- Collecting invoices and developing comprehensive financial reports
- General funding and development office duties
Administration Internship
- Answering the telephone calls, emails and responding appropriately to queries/taking messages
- Maintaining up-to- date filing systems, both manual and electronic as appropriate
- Spreadsheet data entry
- Respond appropriately to incoming enquiries via email
- Co-ordinating work for the charity’s volunteers
- Liaising with staff regarding projects needing support
- Calendar and schedule management
Interns normally volunteer for up to 22 hours a week/2-3 days but hours are flexible and volunteers but are free to go as they wish.
