Integrity UK is recruiting a part-time Media Analyst for its Arab Media Monitoring Hub.
Integrity was founded in 2014 as a unit within the International Centre for Integration & Cohesion – a UK based registered charity (no 1126489). Our aim is to ensure that the MENA region is represented and analysed in an impartial, unbiased and nuanced manner, in order to provide the world with a clearer perspective on current affairs.
The interns, being part of a small and friendly team, will monitor several Middle Eastern based media outlets and provide punctual translations of selected footage into English. If interested, the interns also have the opportunity to develop their writing, analytical and research skills.
We are asking for a flexible commitment within office hours for 2-3 days a week. Interns should ideally be able to commit for a period of 3-6 months.
Candidate Experience and Skills
Essential skills:
Excellent knowledge of Arabic and ability to translate from Arabic to English
General knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region
Good written and spoken English
Strong team working skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
The interns should be able to bring their own laptops. Training and on-going support will be provided, as well as the possibility to attend conferences and workshops in order to gain useful experience related to the position.
