An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Nacro within its dynamic, strategic and successful Policy and Public Affairs department.
We are looking for an experience Media Manager who can influence the media, government policy and support the growth of Nacro's service footprint across England and Wales.
You will operate at a strategic level across the organisation and forge strong internal relationships with others, including the chief executive, the leadership team, operational staff and service users.
Job responsibilities will include:-
• Being responsible for making sure what happens in Nacro services informs the media and that Nacro is responding to and gaining coverage from emerging stories.
• To develop and maintain a media plan and lead its connected PR activity as part of our overall business strategy.
• Playing a lead role in the development of campaigns, providing media expertise in the targeting audiences and in the production, writing and distribution of campaigning materials.
• Leading and managing the press team to deliver the plan.
• Ensuring the news section of the website is updated regularly and systematically managed.
The successful candidate should have:-
• Extensive experience in media management and PR
• Previous track record of establishing strong relationships with a range of editors, journalists and political audiences.
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to stay calm under pressure, be a self-starter and achieve results
