Our internal communication and press teams are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to help us during this exciting time for the charity, just after the launch of the UK’s biggest major public awareness campaign of autism.

Tasks will include finding stories and writing copy for internal newsletters, our intranet and other internal communications. They will also help the press team by answering phones to journalists, assisting officers to write press releases and comments, and providing administrative support if needed.

This is a great chance to gain experience writing copy for internal and external audiences, and learn about the day-to-day running of a busy press and internal communications team of a national charity during a major campaign.

Our new volunteer will ideally have:
• Strong spoken and written communication skills
• Administrative skills including MS Office
• An interest in autism
• A good eye for interesting internal and external-facing stories
• Confident telephone manner

The internship will be a maximum of three days per week and will last up to three months (depending on your availability and other commitments).
