Job Details

Progress always starts with a question.

At The Social Jungle, we know it’s important to ask how the world works if we are to make it work better. So we launched a digital media website with a fresh perspective. We want to use social sciences to explain important social issues in the news and the world at large.

Our goal is to create an online space which engages and informs our audience. We are a space where young people who want to make an impact on society, can discuss the social world and the forces that drive it.

We are looking for contributors who are enthusiastic about writing articles and/or making videos on social issues. An interest and/or background in social sciences would be ideal. We are looking for individuals from the field of Politics, Economics, Psychology, Law, History, Sociology, Anthropology etc.

Why The Social Jungle?
With a rapidly growing audience from over 55 countries including students, social science professionals and academics, we can provide a great platform for your work. We not only use our budget to market your work, but we also make sure it gets to the right audience. Our experienced editors provide valuable feedback to help you craft a great piece of content.

Plus, the independence of our platform means that we can encourage debate around issues which mainstream channels might not.

What are we looking for?
You don’t have to have any experience in writing or filming. All you need is an interesting idea, a computer and (if submitting footage) a camera which records video. Our team of editors have experience in creating online content so you can get tons of advice and guidance from them on your project. And of course, all contributors get credit.

Requirements
- Individuals who can portray current social issues from a unique angle;
- An ability to craft engaging and emotional content: Funny, witty, satirical etc;
- People who are not afraid to go to the depth of an issue;
- People who want to bring together different strands of social science;
- Curiosity about the social world.
