The Norwich Radical is an online progressive publication based in Norwich. We are a collective of writers, activists, students and workers who work on a voluntary basis to produce a publication which amplifies progressive and radical ideas. We publish a range of content in five separate sections from our team of regular writers and through externally sourced content. The Norwich Radical is a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers.

Community section writer

We are currently looking to recruit new members of our regular contributor team. Our Community section covers the politics and society of Norwich and the wider Norfolk area.

Applicants will commit to writing an article of 600-1000 words in their section once a fortnight.

In line with this, we are looking for applicants with the following skills, experiences and attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong and fluid written communication
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Understanding of the current political situation in Norfolk
  • Understanding of Norfolk’s politics
  • Understanding of and connection to social movements, political parties or campaign groups in Norfolk
  • Commitment to the values of The Norwich Radical, as laid out in our Founding Statement

Perspectives section writer

We are currently looking to recruit new members of our regular contributor team. Our Perspectives section covers our content on liberation politics. We are particularly keen to recruit a writer who can cover issues related to physical disability.

Applicants will commit to writing an article of 600-1000 words in their section once a fortnight.
