LawWorks is an independent national charity that aims to increase the delivery of free legal advice to individuals in need and the not for profits that support them. 

We do this by supporting, promoting and encouraging a commitment to pro bono legal advice across the legal profession. LawWorks runs a number of programmes that place volunteer lawyers with people and small not for profits that cannot afford legal fees and are unable to access legal aid.

LawWorks regularly has opportunities for interns to support our work in a range of areas. We are currently looking for two voluntary intern administrative and research assistants to support our in-house lawyers in the Secondary Specialisation programme and our Clinics Programmes supporting a network of pro bono legal advice clinics. Specific tasks may include:

  • Dealing with information enquiries from clients and lawyers via email, telephone and letter
  • Copying, scanning and filing documents
  • Using electronic case management system to facilitate effective case management and records keeping (training will be provided)
  • Other general administrative tasks as may be required
  • Researching and updating clinic resources
  • Liaising with partners to collect evaluation statistic

Time Commitment
We are looking for 2 interns to join the team in October 2016, volunteering with us for 2 days per week for up to 3 months.

Please note that the 2 days per week volunteering will need to be conducted during 10am - 4pm, Mon - Fri at The National Pro Bono Centre, Chancery Lane, WC2A 1JF.
