This is an exciting time to join MDXSU’s Student Voice Department which researches, represents and communicates the diverse views, opinions and experiences of students at Middlesex and ensures students know and understand our values and how to put them into practice in their studies, on campus and beyond in the community and society through MDXSU.

We champion engagement through inclusive democracy, innovative student-led work and sharing expert advice and knowledge – ensuring MDXSU is the only legitimate and recognized voice of the student body and provides value and insight to the activities and opportunities offered throughout MDXSU.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team to lead our democracy work. Our Democracy Coordinator will oversee the union’s constitutional obligations as well as plan and deliver our exciting democratic calendar, including organising elections and be responsible for working across the organisation to build an innovative democracy and to build democratic and inclusive communities. MDXSU is also beginning the process of developing its new long-term vision for its democratic structures and the Democracy Coordinator will be integral to taking this work forward.

Our Democracy Coordinator will have a passion for student-led leadership and a strong record of delivering multiple projects and strong event-organising skills.
