Macmillan Cancer Support is a ‘force for change’ and we are looking for a high-performing policy professional to help us shape the future of cancer care in the UK, and improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

This role within Macmillan's influential policy team will be responsible for developing innovative, evidence-based policy thinking, building relationships with senior decision-makers and working with colleagues from across the organisation to plan and deliver influencing projects.

We strive to lead the debate on issues that affect people with cancer and their families, not just be part of it. Therefore, we are looking for someone with not only strong analytical skills, but also a proven ability to influence others to deliver change.

Experience of developing policy in a complex environment is essential, as is experience of working with government and/or other regulatory bodies. Experience of working in a health or social care organisation would be ideal, particularly where complemented by an understanding of and investment in Macmillan's agenda.
