BritishAmerican Business (BAB) is seeking a talented, dynamic Content Editor to lead on the development and production of BAB’s two upcoming Trade and Investment Guides. This role is a ten-month contract, with possibility of extension, and may suit a freelancer.

The UK and the US enjoy one of the most comprehensive and successful economic relationships in the world. Despite or because of the uncertainty created by the UK’s vote to leave the European Union and the outcome of the US election, the focus on the opportunities of the UK-US economic relationship has reached an unprecedented level.

Over the past 15 years, BAB has produced annual Trade & Investment Guides for the UK and the US which serve as a comprehensive resource for businesses looking to expand and invest across the Atlantic. ROLE:
The Content Editor will be responsible for developing and delivering BAB’s next trade and investment guides to be published in May/June 2017. The objective should be to build on existing work, but to also improve content, layout, design and distribution to respond to new demand and different reader needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Director of Policy & Trade to develop a comprehensive project delivery plan identifying monthly deliverables; Collect, collate and edit information from a variety of sources to use in the Guide in line with BAB’s editorial guidelines; Secure sponsorship and manage sponsor relations; Manage and oversee design and production of guides; Consider ways to integrate this guide with other BAB products or member offerings; Deliver both guides on budget and within agreed time frame.

PROFILE:
Ideal candidates should possess:
A strong understanding of the trade and investment promotion environment and a proven record of related work; Detail oriented with outstanding project management and organisational abilities; Previous experience delivering a project to budget would be highly advantageous; Superior research, writing and editing skills; An openness to evolving tasks and responsibilities; A hands-on, positive can-do attitude and ability to cope with time pressures.
