Job Details

Are you interested in gaining overseas experience with an ethical organisation focused on sustainable volunteering? Do you want to experience development differently? Can you be proactive and adapt to the fast-paced nature of social change? Development in Action’s India Internship Programme could be for you.

For over 20 years DiA has promoted ethical overseas development experience through our India Internship placements. We are now recruiting interns for our 2 month and 6 month placements. The volunteer internship offers the opportunity for young people to gain new perspectives on global issues, strengthen their skills, and continue their journey as global citizens through action at home.

You will be proactive, have previous experience of working as part of a team, and be able to communicate with a wide range of people across different cultures. You will be able to use your skills, knowledge and experience to work with one of our placement partners and support them in responding to the needs of the communities they work in: http://www.developmentinaction.org/india-programme/internship-placements.

The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
