Job Title: Stakeholder Engagement Adviser

Working For: Kingston University

Location: London

Salary: £37,256 - £40,483

Length of Contract:

Job Details

At Kingston University we take great pride in the difference we make to the lives of our students and the wider community we serve. We are constantly striving to provide excellent student and staff services and to improve the teaching and learning experience.

As part of our vision for the future, we are developing proposals to make significant improvements to our campus sites over the next 10 years. We are now looking for a talented and experienced stakeholder engagement adviser to help us succeed in this ambition.

Reporting to the stakeholder engagement manager and working within the Estates and Marketing and Communications Directorates, your main responsibilities will be to advise on, develop, plan and supervise a range of strategic and integrated stakeholder engagement plans that enable internal and external stakeholders to understand the University’s vision to develop its estate. You will also advise and assist in developing a programme of internal and external events, such as public exhibitions, open meetings and campus road shows.

You will need to be a team player, who enjoys the challenge of negotiating with colleagues and other stakeholders, advising them on the most suitable and cost-effective communications methods to reach their target audiences. You will plan, deliver and evaluate print and online activities across the full range of communications channels.

As well as sharing your own professional experience and learning with colleagues, there will be plenty of opportunity to further develop your own knowledge, skills and expertise. You will be the sort of person who thrives on variety, is able to multi-task and is not daunted by shifting deadlines.

It goes without saying that you will have excellent writing and presentation skills – able to write for a range of different audiences and channels – and be a strong all-round communicator.

To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with experience of working within a local political environment and have a good knowledge of property/town planning issues. You will be an effective influencer, with an ability to communicate confidently and diplomatically with people inside and outside the University.

Closing Date: 30 January 2017

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will be held on Friday 3 February.
