The role

• To be the first port of all call for all media relations and develop key relationships with journalists, researchers and producers in order to maximise media coverage and raise awareness about the organisation’s work and campaign messages.
• To write draft press comments and releases, including creating and identifying opportunities for feature articles and letters to the press, utilising both online and offline media.
• To support the development and implementation of campaigns, both through traditional and digital campaigning routes.
• To assist in the development of policy, including drafting policy briefings and consultation responses as required.

The candidate

• Experience of working in a broad based press and media environment.
• Experience of campaigning, public affairs and lobbying work.
• Experience of utilising social media as a promotional and campaigning tool.
