We are looking for a dynamic, driven self-starter who will be able to develop the Partnership Library to provide an excellent, inclusive, accessible library service and educational resource for the local community.

In this newly created role, you will be required to develop a suite of services to promote the access to and the enjoyment of literature and the spoken word for those with special and/or additional needs as well as offer advice and support for this cohort. You will also develop employment training opportunities for all but most especially for those with learning disabilities.

General duties and responsibilities include:

• To manage the partnership library setting clear operating processes and measureable objectives to meet and exceed the statutory obligations of library provision;
• To recruit a cohort of volunteers to support library operation;
• To develop the provision into a centre of disability expertise;
• To develop employment training opportunities within the Library and develop ancillary social enterprises to increase these and generate income;
• To ensure that library project has clear measureable financial and social objectives which are reviewed and monitored regularly;
• To ensure that the partnership library operates as a collaborative effort across all Kisharon’s service areas.

The successful candidate will have management experience, be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills. You will be highly motivated and passionate about supporting individuals with learning disability into employment.
