The role
As a Press Officer you will sit within the wider external affairs team to produce media briefings, press releases and comment. You will be the main point of contact for all incoming media enquiries across national, regional, trade and broadcast media, competently dealing with crisis communications as well as leading on proactive media work such as pitching features and opinion pieces and speechwriting. As part of the media relations team you will work with internal and external stakeholders to agree messaging, proof and edit copy and build a network of a spokespeople.
