Working For: Essex Crimestoppers

Location: Internet

Charity Number: 1108687

Salary: Voluntary (part-time, flexible hours)

Job Details

Crimestoppers, the UK's only independent crime-fighting charity, is looking for a Volunteer Social Media Lead based in the Essex area to assist and promote the activities of the volunteers and Crimestoppers Regional Manager.

Crimestoppers Essex is a group of volunteers overseen by the Crimestoppers Eastern Region Manager. The volunteers and Regional Manager undertake a number of campaigns and projects aimed at reducing crime and supporting police investigations across the county. In order to provide a link to the public and to inform a wider audience about this important work, Crimestoppers Essex is looking to increase its footprint on social media.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about social media seeking more experience in this area. As social media lead you will take control of the Crimestoppers Essex social media accounts from their creation in order to build up a following. This work can be performed on an ad hoc basis and remotely.

In return for your time and efforts we will seek to involve you as much as you would like to be involved in our work in the local area.

This role is a great opportunity to enhance your CV by supporting the work of one of the UK’s most trusted charities. As the applicant will be supporting the work of the Eastern Region Manager and Essex Crimestoppers Volunteers, ideally the applicant will be based in Essex, London or the surrounding area.

Ideally we would like an estimated commitment of 1-3 hours per week for this role but the role is also completely flexible and can work around your schedule.

W4MP Note:
The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
