The Standing Committee for Youth Justice is a coalition of non-profit organisations working together to improve the youth justice system in England and Wales. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Policy and Communications Assistant to join our small staff team based in Peckham, London, two days per week, for a 12-month period ideally starting as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to make an impact; working in a small team at a crucial time for youth justice policy, you'll really see the effects of your work.
Reporting to the Programmes Manager, the post-holder will carry out policy research; contribute to reports, briefings and lobbying materials; and assist in building and maintaining our online presence and relationships with high-level stakeholders. The post-holder will also provide administrative support, assist with communications and liaison with our membership, and will support regular Committee meetings.
