The role provides an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager or Associate Director with proven experience of client and supplier relationship management, business development, and people management.
Specifically, the role entails:
• Managing existing client relationships in a fast paced environment, ensuring the delivery of first-class quantitative and qualitative research projects which inform strategies, change behaviour and define debate
• Driving new business development activities with prospective clients
• Producing market-leading proposals and developing innovative solutions to challenging research briefs that clearly communicate ComRes’s values and expertise in response to central government tenders and through informal channels
• Leading a team of ambitious research consultants with a focus on coaching and people development
You will be joining at an exciting time of growth at ComRes and will have the opportunity to take a lead role in growing the team, building new client relationships and shaping the research offer presented to clients.
You will have extensive experience of:
• client and research management across a range of client sectors, ideally including education, arts & culture, sports, and central government together with a proven track record in winning new business and growing accounts
• presenting to clients, colleagues and wider industry stakeholders addressing issues of reputation, public policy and communications
• developing innovative solutions to client briefs, responding to tenders and writing proposals for quantitative and qualitative research projects
• designing methodologies and writing analytical reports based upon a variety of methodological approaches
• managing and developing a team of executives/consultants/analysts on large-scale quantitative and qualitative research projects together with strong people management skills
• managing suppliers and financial budgets on large-scale quantitative and qualitative research projects
Personal qualities will include
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure, and juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
