As one of our Policy Team Leaders, you could collaborate on policy responses to issues ranging from ensuring that our water is cleaner, healthier and more resilient to floods, to designing systems that support farmers in improving productivity. Tackling threats such as avian flu, delivering on international commitments to air quality, securing a sustainable future for fishing - you can expect an extraordinary variety of interesting and engaging work. Whatever the area, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our priorities. Managing and developing a team, forging collaborative and creative relationships with diverse stakeholders, and briefing Ministers, you will influence new approaches and inform policies that affect millions of people.
An inspiring and collaborative leader, you have what it takes to develop an inclusive and high performing culture and support people through change. You’ll be able to quickly understand key issues and risks from complex information and work together with others to agree solutions. You’ll bring an innovative approach to the role, with a keen eye for spotting opportunities to do things differently.
