We are looking for a policy researcher to work within the Education and Skills Team at Policy Connect. The researcher will primarily be responsible for managing the Skills Commission’s Spotlight project and the inquiry into access and progression in apprenticeships alongside the Head of Education & Skills. The role will also involve supporting the team with their secretariat duties for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills and Employment.

Reporting to the Head of Education and Skills, you will be primarily leading on research for the Skills Commission’s current Spotlight project looking at a number of different groups and their experience of the skills system.

You will be undertaking research, report writing and engaging with stakeholders, including parliamentary and industry representatives. You will also be required to publicise and promote our activities and our research findings.

In providing additional support for the management of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills and Employment you will be involved in arranging events, drafting policy briefing notes and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
